Hypnotherapy
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a form of guided hypnosis. It is a technique that allows you to enter a trance-like state with a trained hypnotherapist. It can be defined as a state of suggestibility, deep focus (a trance), or as an altered state of awareness, consciousness or brainwave activity. The trance-like state can be compared to as being in a deep state of relaxation. By allowing yourself to reach this state, the subconscious mind (your deeper mind) prepares for a more focused, suggestive state that is open to receive new ways of learning, re-framing and change.
Working with the subconscious and developing a better relationship with that part of our mind can help change habits, thinking and behaviour.
Hypnosis is not becoming unconscious, sleepy, or out of control, unlike some of the dramatic portrayals of hypnosis as seen on TV and stage shows for entertainment purposes.

Did you know that we all experience hypnosis naturally several times a day?

Ever spend time daydreaming or zoning out when reading a good book or watching a film?

Or driving and not remembering the journey?
Yes – this is us in a hypnotic state!

Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural therapy which uses the power of positive suggestion to bring about change at a subconscious level. Using hypnosis, your subconscious mind becomes more alert and receptive to these positive suggestions and makes long lasting changes to negative thought patterns, feelings, behaviours and habits.
During hypnotherapy you are fully aware and in control and will only accept what is of benefit to you based on your desired change.
The number of sessions required will vary from person to person with many issues requiring between 3-6 sessions. This will be discussed with you during the initial consultation.
