


A Bit About Shalini
Shalini is a qualified and registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, a Somatic Practitioner and on the pathway to accreditation in Hypno-Psychotherapy, currently trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. She is an accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist , Yoga and EFT practitioner and a UK provider of Stephen Porges The Safe and Sound Protocol.

Her training is with the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, one of the few colleges in the UK that offer UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapy) accreditation.
Shalini has a keen interest on trauma, stress, anxiety and relationships, with a deep interest in neuroscience and the deep connection of our bodies through the lens of the nervous system as playing a vital role in how we respond to life around us. She specialises in both mind and body-oriented approach’s necessary to the healing of trauma, anxiety, pain and other stress-related disorders and trained in the latest somatic interventions with Dr Stephen Porges, Polyvagal Theory and Dr Pat Ogden of The Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute in America. Prior to her career as a therapist, she taught her favourite subject Psychology in colleges in and around North Yorkshire including mentoring and coaching young people on emotional and mental health and wellbeing.

Shalini is a one of the few provider's in the UK to offer Dr Stephen Porges Safe and Sound Protocol, one of the latest evidence-based treatments to support the recovery of trauma, anxiety and processing disorders.
Her approach is focused on supporting her clients through a range of personal difficulties towards exploring their potential and feeling empowered. She provides a safe and confidential space in which gentle change can begin through the therapeutic relationship.
She is a registered member of the UK Council of Psychotherapy, an accredited member of the Complementary Medical of Natural Health Council, an accredited member of Yoga Alliance Professionals and a registered with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for Trauma . Shalini practices within an ethical framework of these organisations. She promotes equality, diversity and non-judgement, valuing each of my clients as unique individuals with the courage to seek greater self-awareness and personal growth. Her practice is LGBTQIA+ affirmative.
